Freyja Elsy stands as a multifaceted and exceptionally accomplished musician and producer, seamlessly blending classical and contemporary palettes to create a resonating sound. Her journey from a classical upbringing to self-taught electro-pop production underscores her versatility and innovation in the ever-evolving landscape of music.

With a Bachelor’s degree in Music from Cardiff University, and 3 years experience working in film and television, Freyja is now working as a freelance music producer, composer, live performer and sound editor.

Her most recent projects include composing for short film ‘Live After Death’ (2023) & sound FX and foley editing for Industry (2022), The Pact (2022), The Trick (2021) and Sex Education (2020).

Freyja Elsy, a classically trained musician, composer, and self-taught electro-pop producer, has intricately woven together a myriad of musical influences to craft a sound that is both distinctive and captivating.

Having undergone classical training from a young age and continued her music education at a university level, Freyja Elsy's artistic vision is a fusion of orchestral and chamber sounds, alongside electronic, folktronica, and synthpop genres. Inspired by artists such as AURORA, Massive Attack, and The Naked And Famous, Elsy adeptly integrates both modern pop techniques and classical elements into her music.

Since 2020, Freyja Elsy has been actively engaged in songwriting and production, releasing a series of three singles and an EP. Her debut single, 'Lungs,' released in April 2021, immediately captured the admiration of critics and listeners, earning accolades from Adam Walton of BBC Radio Wales who hailed it as "off-the-scale evocative."
